FINAL PROJECT PROPOSAL

TITLE: Sombra de la murete - Shadow of Death

Description: Artifact multi--d artifact as a method to deliver multi-media segments [sound/images] within a gallery or small room setting.

Research context: Tibetan Book of the Dead, Egyptian Book of the Dead, and various myths and stories of Day of the Dead celebrations amongst many cultures. By way of abstract sights and sounds the artist provides glimpses what she imagines the sights and sounds of human death experience at various stages or levels such as the peeling away of time and light.

Key Functionality: Interactive, multi-media, art installation utilizing Processing to implement various visual [still and moving images] to display video projection, possibly flashing still images, soundscape composition.

Explanation Building Parts:

1. Wooden cabinet

2. Computer and Computer Speakers

3. Processing: Using a variety of references: Image: PImage() etc. ; Loading & Displaying etc. ; Input: Mouse etc. and Keyboard etc.

4. JAVA Libraries: • Line In • Line Out • Load File • ASCII Video • Loop • Image Buttons


WHAT I PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH: Processing to display images and 1 or two video/sound loops.
