NOTE: For anyone who, like me, found extending PImage cumbersome, see this thread: http://dev.processing.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=168. It appears to be opened by someone in our class from 2005 (or someone doing the same exact assignment - Georgia Tech possibly?).
